Religious Education
The school’s Religious Education Curriculum currently follows the guidelines set out in the existing Religious Education Curriculum Directory (RECD). Each year group currently follows the published scheme ‘Come and See’ to achieve the objectives set out in the RECD. To support children’s understanding to scripture, Lectio Divina is used as a way to promote closeness with God and to increase the children’s knowledge of God's word.

Through our curriculum, our children are able to:
· Grow in the knowledge of the mystery of God.
· Become familiar with the person, life and teachings of Jesus who reveals both the face of God and the fullness of what it means to be human.
· Grow in experience, knowledge and understanding of the Church.
· Develop a moral awareness as they reflect upon their lives and the lives of others in the light of the Christian message.
· Prepare for, participate in and appreciate liturgical prayer and worship.
· Grow in understanding and appreciation of scripture and its place in Christianity.
