Maths Week 2017
.
During Maths Week, pupils across the whole school took part in a range of fun activities
which were designed to help them explore Maths in an engaging way,
outside of their normal curriculum lessons.
FunMaths Roadshow
During Maths Week, the Year 6 pupils led a series of roadshow events in the hall.
Every day a different year group came to solve fun maths problems and games.
The Year 6 pupils did a brilliant job of explaining the activities and the sessions were thoroughly enjoyed by pupils from all the year groups.
Take a look at the photos – can you see yourself on any of them?
The EYFS pupils had a fantastic time during Maths week. They completed a variety of collaborative maths tasks in the outdoor environment. The children enjoyed working together writing number sentences and ordering numbers!
Maths Hunts
Each year group created a Maths treasure hunt for the year group below.
The questions covered many different aspects of the Maths curriculum in a fun way.
Year 4 pupils created a treasure hunt for Year 3 using boxes which contained clues. They hid the boxes around the playground and garden areas. Year 3 pupils used the computer to create a pirate themed quiz for Year 2. The children had to answer questions correctly to crack the pirate code and find the hidden treasure.
